Puffin began his
musical journey ever since he was a wee little toddler. Immersed in an
environment where music was there at every point of his life, he began
moving towards classical music when he was an elementary school kid.
He loved listening to these classical pieces, breaking the pieces apart
instrument by instrument in his head, appreciating each and every
nuance of every instrument. The subtle vibratos of a cello, the
piannisimo playing of a pianist, the light vibrations of a windchime.
Even so, he never got to touching an instrument.
He carried on immersing himself in different genres as he got older.
Hiphop, Country, Jazz, New Age. You name it, he was probably into it at
one time or another.
But as he got into his teen years, his hands started to itch. And as
luck might have had it, his mom bought him an awesome Yamaha upright
piano. And also, as luck might have had it, he started to discover a
talent that he never knew he had: he could play songs by ear. Play him
a song and he'd probably be able to replay it on the piano.
Over time, he fine tuned it all, worked it up, summed it all up to
where he is today: composing movie soundtracks, collaborating with
various artistes, and churning out the heavy beats and setting the
grooove on! Heavily experimental in nature, he's mostly into
orchestral arranging, hip hop producing and ballad composing at this
point of time.
Currently on a quest to fuse his productions with his foray into DJing,
he usually attempts a funky blend of electro-clash, electro-pop and top
40 hits whilst at the deck.
