Our Vision Amidst the stereotypical partying lifestyle of being a DJ, synQ is dedicated to promote the true art of DJing and the love of mixing, cutting and chopping music into a seamless blend. Our reach is not just directed towards the student population of the National University of Singapore (NUS), where we are based at, but to all the party-goers and music lovers who attend our events. And yes, we do have a crew of DJs who play a multitude of genres from Mambo, Techno, Trance and House to Dubstep, Trip Hop and Hip Hop. We believe in making our DJ philosophy inclusive - not exclusive. Our Mission "Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable." Our DJ Classes aim to provide an enriching and fulfilling experience to the budding DJs who enroll in our weekly lessons at NUS. As for the experienced DJs in our crew, we believe that DJing is always an ongoing learning process and there are new pointers to be picked up, new styles to be learnt and shared as a collective. synQ also ensures that each event or performance that we are in sees nothing less than 100% from the performing DJs. Our Values "The shift to intention... to rise above the mediocrity." With major events and performances always around the corner, synQ DJs are not just human jukeboxes. Individuals in our collective learn how to take responsibility in organizing events, liaising with clients and working together as a team. As much as a DJ performs alone on the stand, there are many others who have helped him or her get to where they are and work behind the scenes.
